The Archivision Digital Research Library
(currently 34,000 18 MB TIFF files)
The Archivision Library is only licensed in modules
The Archivision Digital Research Library is a unique and fast growing collection of high quality images – photographed by a professional photographer, architect and past VR curator.
Each site documentation is extensive – intending to provide for in-depth visual research and analysis by students of architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, archaeology, art and art history.
A core architecture collection covering important Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, 18th and 19th Century, Islamic and Modern sites, gardens, parks and works of public art selected from our growing archive of more than 120,000 images. The Library can only be licensed in modules, starting with the Base Collection of 16,000 images. The Library expands each year via Addition Modules of 6,000 images each. The Addition Modules are licensed in sequence only, as they complement the growth and balance of the Library as a whole. Each Module contains a mix of material spanning multiple countries and time periods to enhance its use in all curricula. No images are repeated.

The Archivision Library has been successfully used in all the major delivery systems.
For those institutions that are still investigating digital collection software, the Archivision Library presents a unique and no-fail base from which to test one or even several solutions economically.

Hosted Server Options

For the cost of the annual server access fee, you can test-drive this delivery interface, complete with teaching functionality and access. Keep the hosted access option or bring the Library home at any time.
2) Via your ARTstor subscription
When you license the Archivision Library (to keep in perpetuity) it is your local content and you have the option to upload it into ARTstor, along with your other local material, so long as you have a subscription and a signed Hosting Service agreement with ARTstor. Rather than actually uploading our modules ARTstor has already loaded them for you...so you need do nothing on your end. You can cross search both Archivision and ARTstor content or narrow your search by adding the keyword term "archivision" to retrieve only our content. Please ask ARTstor for details at
Is your institution still working on a local metadata template implementation, but you need to offer digital content now? Try one of our pre-built collections:
The Archivision Library has an MDID collections ready to go, built using our Archivision collection template. This is the same template seen in our hosted solutions. Luna Imaging can also migrate this collection to your local server and build it there. We also have a pre-built EmbARK solution. Fees apply to all options.
Need a cataloging system as well?
