The Archivision Digital Research Library
The creative process begins with an idea - The Archivision Digital Research Library can help you find and develop that idea like no other ressource can. With over 53,000 professional images and drawings covering all periods of architecture, landscape architecture, gardens and public art, the Library allows you to find useful reference material during the conceptualization and presentation phase of your project.
Unlike other images sources such as Google or Corbis, Archivision specializes in providing:
- rich, accurate metadata with background information about each site including the architect, location, culture, period, material used in construction, type of building or work, gps coordinates, etc.
- a wealth of detail and coverage for each location.
- images that are consistently hi-resolution, hi-quality, perspective corrected and most importantly accurate representations of documented sites.
What's more, each image can be downloaded at resolutions (1,500 pixels) suitable for small prints or PowerPoint presentations (higher resolution images are availabe for publication or commercial use from our Royalty-Free site).
High quality imagery goes a long way to selling that idea. Futhermore, the Simply Subscription License Agreement allows your end users to use the images for teaching.
Accessible via the web, The Archivision Digital Research Library is curated by Scott Gilchrist (M. Arch), a trained architect and professional photographer. To get a general overivew of the extensive content in our Library click here to load the full catalogue list of sites and works.
